The Watoga 2-4 person traditional cedar steam sauna is assembled using a ball-and-socket profile, held in place by stainless steel bands and minimal fasteners. The significance of this configuration is that it maintains a reliable seal while allowing the lumber to expand and contract. The entire unit is mounted on two polymer support cradles that lift the undercarriage of the sauna to keep it from coming in direct contact with any moisture on the ground.

• Product Care: You may cover your barrel with roofing material of your choosing to minimize water seepage. This can include a rain jacket, corrugated metal, or shingles and are purchased separately. The interior maintenance includes wiping down the benches every so often with a damp cloth, sweeping it out as needed, and cleaning/reorganizing the sauna stones yearly. The western red cedar used to construct your sauna is raw and untreated. To preserve the original look of your sauna, you may choose to stain its exterior with a stain recommended by your local paint professional. If left unstained, your sauna will age beautifully and naturally.

A:"There is a 30" LED light on the back wall near the bottom of the heater. ​"

Q:"Is the heater required to install a licensed electrician? Do the barrel fine outdoors? Will the product be damaged if the weather is rain or snow?" asked by Jose

A:"A licensed electrician is required to install the heater, yes. The barrel saunas will do fine outdoors, but you may seal or stain the exterior only with a UV inhibiting and water-based product to preserve the wood long term. Some will cover their saunas if you live in a very rainy/snowy area with a rain barrel jacket, corrugated tin, or shingled roof."

A:"In particularly snowy areas, we do recommend that you cover your sauna. This can be done in any way you choose. But popular options are rain barrel jackets, corrugated tin, or shingles. As the lumber wood is raw and untreated, it is best to keep the wood dry or/and covered to keep the wood in a healthy long-term."
