What is the safety advice and restrictions for this playhouse?

We recommend adult monitoring whenever a playhouse is used. However, it may be of reassurance to learn that our playhouses are safety tested to British Standards BS-EN71 for domestic use. Our playhouses are not designed for children aged under 36 months as there are many small parts, which may be a potential choking hazard.

What is the glazing?

Our playhouses use shatter-resistant plastic (SAN). SAN is used for its UV properties and the tougher finish avoids breakages, when compared to the properties of glass shattering.

Is a floor and roof included?

Yes! All our playhouses come with a floor and roof as standard. Our standard roof option is the 11mm Tongue and Groove. This interlocking roof provides a reliable covering for any building. The Tongue and Groove not only gives your building a stronger roof but more premium look and feel.

Will I need planning permission for this building?

If your building is shorter than 2.5m you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or will be placed in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before purchasing a garden building from us.
