Question: is the pole that goes to the bottom round? I dont want the base but want to set my own pole in concrete then put the pole from the umbrella in it.. wi
Answer: The umbrella has an the ability to mount onto concrete. The same way you mount it into the base, you will mount it onto the concrete. This section is about 12 inches high and the pole slides over it. I had to buy the base because I was putting mine partially on concrete and partially on dirt.

Question: Is there an option for a metal base rather than the black plastic one?
Answer: I don’t think so and the plastic one is fine. You fill it with water and it is very stable.

Question: What are the measurements of the pole? From the floor to the bottom of the umbrella? And from the base to the top of the umbrella?
Answer: The base slides inside the umbrella. For a 10'×13' cantelivered umbrella, with umbrella open, the post is 108 1/2". With the umbrella closed approx 112"

Question: Must it be fully open? Should the fabrics be fully extended, the fabric seems wavering if not fully open.
Answer: Fully open gives the best coverage and the material is taught.
